Host Agent Overview
The Host Agent is software installed on servers and workstations inside your network. It collects inventory snapshots — operating system, hardware, network interfaces, and installed software — and sends them to Monozu Cloud to enrich the CMDB.
What it collects

The agent is read-only: it does not execute remote commands on hosts.
How data reaches Monozu Cloud
Section titled “How data reaches Monozu Cloud”When a Monozu edge appliance is on the same site LAN, the Host Agent prefers that path for inventory uploads. If the edge is unavailable, the agent can send data directly to Monozu Cloud over outbound HTTPS.
Relationship to edge discovery

Rollout overview
Section titled “Rollout overview”- Generate an enrollment key for a site (tenant administrator).
- Install the agent on Windows or Linux hosts (Install Host Agent).
